
Sixteen years after its first publication, Vibe Magazine is reportedly ceasing publication.
According to reports on Dailyfinance.com; the magazine founded by Quincy Jones and Time Warner will be closing its doors for good.
According to the site, despites Vibes attempts to implement some cost cutting plans to save money, which included lay offs, and shortening the work week, the magazine was still unable to make it through this media recession.
It is being reported that the staff were told today June 30th, 2009 that the magazines run was over.
Although the magazine had already implemented cost-cutting measures, including layoffs and a four-day work week, staff today were told that its run was over. Come on Quincy MAke youe next move your best move! it can't end like this!
